Light in the Foliage
Another plein air oil study. Very challenging work to capture the light in the foliage, shadows and light on the ground as it changes every minute.
Painting is made on a panel that has been pre-treated with 3 layers of high quality gesso primer and 1 layer of GOLDEN GAC 100 primer to prevent sinking of colour over the time, where pigment would otherwise loose the crisp look due to loss of oils contained in the paint. That will ensure the bright and fresh appearance of oil paint over the long period of time.
All my paintings are always treated with thin layer of protective varnish after they dry.
The artwork is signed and sold unframed. All materials are archival.
